Bhoomi Pujan (भूमि पूजन), also known as Bhumi Puja or the ground-breaking ceremony, is the Vedic ritual performed before beginning construction on a piece of land. The ceremony involves worshipping Bhoomi Devi (the Earth Goddess) and Vastu Purusha (the deity governing space and direction) to seek their blessings and permission before disturbing the earth.
